Marriage Bond of Lewis Flint and Mary Jackson
KNOW all men by these presents, that we
Lewis Flint and Joshua Nixon ire held
and firmly bound unto
John Page Governor of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, to the said Governor or his
successors, we bind our selves, and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this
12th day of March 1805.
The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between
Lewis Flint and Mary Jackson
now if there be no lawful cause to object the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full
force and virtue.

The Clerk of Harrison County is hereby (?) obligated to Issue a marriage licence to
Lewis Flint to join in matrimony with my Daughter Mary Jackson and this Shall be your warrant
