INTRODUCTION TO LLOYD JACKSON'S NOTES
By Jerry Gross
This transcription is of a copy of Lloyd Jackson's notes. I transcribed it as it appeared, neither adding nor taking away from it.
I found it through my membership with the Hacker's Creek Pioneer Descendants.
It was located in their Archived Library under the indexed
title, FA - 160 Jackson Notes. The photocopied ledger was donated to the HCPD Library by Nancy Jackson.
When I queried of her donation,
she said, that she obtained the copy from Mary Jackson of Jane Lew. Mary allowed Nancy to copy the ledger and then
submit it to the HCPD
for their archives. Mary was born on 4 Dec 1901 and died 15 April
2000.
Mary is said to have researched a great deal on the Jackson family. It is unclear what happened to
her research after Mary
died. She had one brother, the late George J. Jackson of Clarksburg,
WV. They are both descendants of Edward and Martha (Miller) Jackson.
Mary was single and had no descendants.
At this point, I do not know which Lloyd Jackson this info was copied from as there are two Lloyd Jacksons who descend from Stephen Pomeroy
and Hannah (Bailey) Jackson. The first Lloyd was born February 3, 1846, and died on March 19, 1921.
He was married to Anna Lester on
November 30, 1870. Lloyd and Anna had a son named Lloyd Jackson, Jr. born on September 4, 1872.
