• An interesting record of the home of John Jackson in Jericho is told at the following URL.  This historic Townsend-Jackson-Malcolm home has now been completely restored.  The restoration was made possible through a partnership involving the Nassau Conservancy, the County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, and a team of 16 Long Island interior and garden designers who volunteered their time and services.  Restoration of the Historic Townsend/Jackson/Malcolb House  (off site) 
  
• This beautiful home was built in the early 1800's by Colonel Joseph Jackson, Iron King of Morris County, for his son, Stephen Joseph Jackson and his wife, Mary Ann Gleason Jackson.  The building now serves as the Rockaway Borough Public Library and has been designated a National Historic Site.
