Help Needed Here!  As in almost all genealogical searches, there are always those branches of the family that have broken off the tree and simply refuse to let anyone know from where they fell.  Indian raids, Revolutionary War, the struggles of pioneer life, the Civil War, court house burnings; they all contributed to losing our family connections.  If you can help connect any of these families to Robert's line, please let me know!

We're closer to finding these folks because DNA results of living descendants match other documented living descendants.  So we know that they are connected somewhere in Robert Jackson’s family tree.  If you know anything that would help find where these folks fit in the puzzle, please let me know!

John A. Jackson McAnally, a Jackson child raised by Wm and Nancy Poe McAnally & given the McAnally name.

Oh Come Angel Band  Jacksons in Montgomery County, Tennessee by Jinny Jackson Smith.  These Jacksons have been proved by DNA to be related to the Hempstead line.  (Click on surnames/Jackson)   Info on this site has NOT been merged with the data base on this site so check out these Montgomery County Jacksons.

Circumstantial evidence suggests that the following Peter Hoff Jackson may be a Broken Branch from Robert Jackson's Tree.   If you know of a living male descendant of any of these families, DNA testing might help determine their ancestral line.  Please encourage living descendants to consider this possibility. 

Peter Hoff Jackson born 1807 Orange Co., New York, married Cynthia Bullock.  Many of their descendants migrated to Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.  Info about Peter was found in an unsigned, unsourced note in a Susquehanna Library saying that he was a descendant of James Jackson and Rebecca Hallet.  This information needs verification by other documentation or by a DNA test of a living Jackson male descendant.

The following  Jackson sites are proved connected by DNA to Robert Jackson of Hempstead, Long Island and much info from these sites has been contributed to and merged into the data base on this site.  But there is more on these sites than has been merged; so they are listed for your convenience.

• Jody Dillard's Rootsweb Chart of Benjamin Jackson  Because DNA testing has proved Benjamin is of the Hempstead line, Jody's info on Benjamin has been merged with our main data base.  Her site contains more data.
• Mary Harkey Russell's Website  Because DNA testing has proved Benjamin is of the Hempstead line, Mary's info on Benjamin has been merged with our main data base.  Her site contains more data.
• William Jackson, Carter Co, TN by Darrell Jackson  Because DNA testing has proved William is of the Hempstead line, Darrell has consented to merge his data with the main data base.  Much has already been merged and will be finished as time allows.
• Mystery Women: The daughters of David Jackson of Campbell County, Tennessee by Darrell Jackson.  These are granddaughters of William Jackson, Carter Co, TN.
