Note received from Dede Darsey Holden:
"In early May 1861 he walked from his home, The Old Log Cabin School House Complex in Old Bogaloosa to Livingston and enlisted in the Famous Alabama Fifth Infantry Regiment, Colonel and later General Robert Rhodes, Commanding. After a short training session in Montgomery, his unit went by train to Northern Virginia and became an integral part of General Stonewall Jackson's 2nd Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, Robert Lee, Commanding General. He first saw action at Manassas and fought all battles until his capture on July 1, 1862 at the battle of Gettysburg. He was a prisoner at Fort Delaware until he was exchanged in Richmond.
"After Lee's surrender at Appomattox, wounded, sick and disheartened he walked back home to Bogaloosa. He married Elizabeth (Bet) Bonner on November 14, 1865." Her source probably The Choctaw County Heritage Book Committee, editor, The Heritage of Choctaw County, Alabama; which chapter & page is not mentioned.

Avon had 3,000 in assets and owned the home. His brother Ulmer lived two households from him and his brother Amon (Armond) lived two households the other direction.

But later I found an the King Family chart on ancestry, which obviously is related to the family and that author says her name is Lona E. Jackson.

Quote from website of Adienne Schoverling: Married: 18 Jan 1806 in Hempstead, Long Island, NY:
"Note: Hinshaw's Quaker record: Almy Seaman daughter of Benjamin and Jane; m 1806 William D. Jones" which differs from the record in Mary Thomas Seaman who has Almy as the daughter of Israel Seaman and Sarah Rowland."

Since "The Jones Family of Long Island" by John H. Jones also has that Almy is the daughter of Israel Seaman and Sarah Rowland and that is the record I have used. I have not used Schoverling's record of data of birth (23 Nov 1768); I have used the dates in the Jones book instead.
