Amelia Elizabeth Jackson, d/o William and Cynthia Jackson was born in Montgomery County Sept 22, 1857 and departed this life April 24, 1921, at the age of 64 years 7 months and 2 days.
In 1877, on Feb 11, she was united in marriage to Albert G. Lewis. To this union 8 children were born. The deceased is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. Elva Pumphrey; Mrs. Lenora York of the state of Washington; Mrs. Nannie Proctor of Yountsville; Mrs. Ava Biggs of Black Creek and Mrs. May True of Demott, Indiana; also one stepdaughter, Mrs. Carrie Schwenk of Wesley; one sister, Mrs. Alice Lowe of this city; one brother, Hyatt Jackson of Kouts, Indiana and 21 grandchildren.
Early in life she united with the Roberts' Chapel Church, where her membership remained until her death. At all times she was ready to do what she could for the advancement of God's kingdom until failing health took hold of her over ready heart and stayed her willing hands. She was patient in all the hours of her suffering, trusting her Savior to the end.
