Aug 2011 from Mickey King: "Aunt Eunice said that her father, Ulmer, got a job working at the old mill in Stonewall, so they lived for a time before moving back to Gilbertown, Alabama... and then moving back again to Mississippi. Kind of confusing how they bounced back and forth, but he was just looking for work and following some of the other Jackson's who found work and settled in Mississippi."

Ella Albertson-23771

Notes contributed by Dr. Anthony Troha from the Underhill Genealogy source record, pg 430: "Ella Albertson b 1863 d Aug 14, 1952 Glen Cove, LINY m 1st 1887 Eugene F. Robbins b Sep. 7, 1859 son of Stephen and Esther G. (Carpenter) Robbins m 2nd Jacob Willits Jackson b Jan. 24, 1858 Brooklyn, NY d Dec.30, 1936 Syosset, LINY, no issue. she had three children by Robbins, all of whom were adopted by Jacob W. Jackson and used the name of Jackson."

So this indicates that the children of Ella's bearing the surname “Jackson” are actually the adopted children of Eugene F. Robbins, and they and their descendants are not genetically related to the Hempstead Jackson’s.
This relationship is further confirmed through Jericho Quaker Records posted on-line:

From the website http://dunhamwilcox.net/ny/jericho_ny_quakers.htm, one finds
“ROBBINS - ALBERTSON
Eugene F. Robbins, born 7 of 9m, 1859, son of Stephen and Esther G. Robbins. Married 13 of 4m, 1887 to Ella Albertson.”
[this is Eugene F. Robbins’ marriage to Ella Albertson]

“ROBBINS
Stephen Ferris Robbins, born 25 of 4m, 1888, son of Eugene H. and Ella A. Robbins.
Florence Robbins, born 1 of 12m, 1889, dau of Eugene H. and Ella A. Robbins.”
[these are the first two children born to Eugene F. Robbins and his wife, Ella Albertson]
