4174. William Fredrick Jackson Sr.-19348

In the three census records below William is always 9 years older than his wife. I believe his wife in each record is the same person. Smith and Helen Tatum have that William married Maurice Lenora Franklin. But she seemed to have a penchant for changing her name.

I found Melvin and Mary's marriage record in the Louisiana marriage index at ancestry.com. It said her name was Mary Ann Patrick. Somewhere in my mind I think I've seen Petrick. Needs a bit more research to verify. The only way I know that this Melvin is the same John M. who was listed as a son of John Franklin is the presence of Osmond, his brother.

WW1 Draft card signed at Sabine Parish, Louisiana: John Melvin Jackson, born 18 Jan 1874, nearest relative was Mrs. Addie E. Jackson, and he lived in 1918 at Converse, Savine Parish, Louisiana. This card is #15 in the 'J' group of cards at ancestry.com. I have some doubts about this being the right John Melvin. Use with caution.
