This is a record of Benjamin Jackson, who I believe to be the son of James Jackson & Rebecca Hallett.  I believe Benjamin and his brother Stephen settled in North Carolina circa 1750's. This notion is largely supported by family oral histories along with land grants and land transfers over a period of 50 years in Anson County, North Carolina and Chesterfield County, South Carolina in an area formerly known as the Cheraws District. This information is presented as is and is in no way to be considered the definitive word on these family lines. Sources used are copies of land grants and/or land transfers, tax list, census records, accepted GEDCOMs and other genealogical sources. Any corrections will be gladly and humbly accepted.  Bob
